I recently purchased a monitor safety siren radon detector at a level that I own. I have radon concentrations under control, as do all my radio tightly closed and keep pace with an air / HEPA filter with active carbon. I set in my shop. After 48 hours (that's how long it takes to calculate the Pro 3 is a first reading) I was very surprised to see a reading of 18.4 pCi / l. This is a higher level than I was willing to live. So I made a simple ventilation system. Works great as you canseen by reading below 1 hour pCi / l. I am very happy with the Pro 3 impressed. I am a very high end of the range would give a false high reading. This is not the case. It uses an ionization chamber that seems to be made of PVC and sealed. I have no idea how to recognize Alpha.
